Foodsters tour UC Davis School of Agricutlure

Despite a chilly and blustery day, members of the Food Industry Foundation took an informative and enlightening tour of UC Davis' College of Agriculture & Environmental Sciences program on February 15th, 2012.

It was noted that the first documented donation from the Foodsters to the UC Davis program was in 1954 and, since then, the Food Industry Foundation has donated over $200,000 in scholarships.

Mark discusses the School of Agriculture's newest major,
Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems. Freshman enrollments and transfers into the entire Ag program have been increasing over the past three years, demonstrating increased interest in the food industry overall.

Discussion with Professor Richard Howitt, Department Chair of the Department of Agriculture and Resource Economics on allocation of water resources in California.
